This guide shows you how to take a Twitch highlight you already have, reframe it to 9:16 in Eklipse Studio, and export it for TikTok or YouTube Shorts.
Got an MW4 clutch or a messy GTA 6 heist sitting in your Twitch clips? The steps below work the same for any game.
Before You Start #
- An Eklipse account, signed in on the web dashboard
- Your Twitch highlight, either as a link or as an MP4 on your device
- Uploads must be MP4 and under 10GB. Convert MKV or MOV files first.
How to Repurpose a Twitch Highlight #
Step 1–3: Bring the Clip into Eklipse Studio #
- Open your Eklipse Dashboard and click Convert to Vertical. Eklipse Studio opens in a new tab.
- Paste the link to your Twitch highlight, or upload the MP4 from your device.
- Click Get Clip. Studio loads the clip into the editor.
📸 Screenshot tip: the Convert to Vertical import screen with a pasted link and the Get Clip button.
Step 4–5: Reframe It for Vertical #
- Pick a layout: full-frame, split, or facecam stacked over gameplay. Studio outputs 9:16 by default.
- Drag each region into place so the part that matters stays on screen, like the kill feed in an MW4 match or the minimap in GTA 6.
📸 Screenshot tip: the facecam-over-gameplay layout with both regions visible.
Step 6–8: Make Your Edits #
- Set the in and out points to cut the clip down to the moment itself.
- Add auto captions, then fix any wrong word in the caption editor.
- Add text or a channel name sticker if you want one. You can move, restyle, and resize it freely.
Step 9–11: Export for TikTok or YouTube Shorts #
- Click Export in the top-right corner of Eklipse Studio.
- Choose resolution and FPS. Eklipse recommends 1080p at 60 FPS for TikTok and Shorts.
- Click Export Video to render, then download the MP4 to your device.
📸 Screenshot tip: the Export menu with 1080p and 60 FPS selected.
What Happens Next #
Your clip renders as a 9:16 MP4 with no black bars, ready to post on TikTok or YouTube Shorts. A copy stays in your account under Edits → Exported Clips, where you can download it again, share it, or reopen it in the editor without starting over. To post without downloading, schedule it through Content Publisher. See How do I directly export and share my video to TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts from Eklipse Studio?
Troubleshooting #
Q: My upload fails.
A: Check that the file is MP4 and under 10GB. Recordings saved as MKV or MOV need to be remuxed to MP4 first.
Q: Studio can’t pull my Twitch link.
A: The clip must be public and not deleted or muted on Twitch. If the link still fails, download the clip from Twitch and upload the MP4 instead.
Q: I want a square or horizontal version.
A: Studio only converts horizontal to vertical for now. Other aspect ratios aren’t available yet.
Q: I spotted a mistake after exporting.
A: Open the clip from Edits → Exported Clips, click edit, fix it, and export again.
