This guide explains the Full Screen, Bottom Split, and Blurred layouts in AI Edit on the Eklipse mobile app, and how to pick and adjust one for your clip.
Before You Start #
- The Eklipse mobile app on iOS or Android, signed in to your account.
- A generated clip, or a video you can upload. AI Edit runs on clips between 15 seconds and 3 minutes.
The Layout Options #
AI Edit opens on Step 1 of 2 · Layout with a default layout already selected. The options include:
Full Screen #
Your clip fills the vertical frame. Use the crop to keep the part of the gameplay that matters inside the frame.
Bottom Split #
The frame is split into two areas, one above the other. Choose it when your clip has two things worth showing, such as gameplay and a facecam.
Blurred #
Your clip sits over a blurred version of itself, so the full original frame stays visible without empty bars. Choose it when cropping would cut off important action.
How to Choose the Right Layout #
- The action fits a vertical crop: start with Full Screen.
- You want gameplay and facecam both visible: try Bottom Split.
- You don’t want to lose any of the original frame: try Blurred.
No layout is right for every clip. Preview a couple before you move on.
Steps 1-6: Pick and Adjust a Layout #
- Tap Create on the main menu, then AI Edit.
- Tap Upload clip to pick a video from your gallery, or start from a generated clip.
- Choose a layout on the Step 1 of 2 · Layout screen.
- Tap Adjust crop if the framing is off. It opens the full uncropped frame so you can move the crop by hand. Tap Done to apply it.
- Tap Continue to styles to move to Step 2 of 2 · Style and pick a style.
- Tap Export. If you want more control, tap Edit to open the full editor.

What Happens Next #
Your clip exports with the layout and style you chose. Publishing happens after export. To learn the full auto-edit flow on the web, see How to auto edit a clip with AI Edit.
Troubleshooting #
Q: Can I change the layout after I pick one?
A: Yes, while you’re on the Layout step. Pick another option or adjust the crop before you continue to styles.
Q: Is the web editor the same?
A: The web app lets you choose templates and layouts in the editor’s Template section. The layout names in this guide come from the mobile app, so the web options may be labeled differently.
Q: The crop cuts off my face or the game action.
A: Tap Adjust crop and move the frame by hand, or switch to Blurred to keep the whole original frame.
