GTA 6 clip maker: reframe a clip for Shorts and TikTok

Already have the clip? Bring it into the browser tool, move the action into a vertical frame, add captions if the moment needs them, and export a file sized for short-form. The tool takes one clip at a time. For a whole stream, the Eklipse AI workflow does the searching instead.

The reframe tool runs at eklipse.gg/tool/gta-clips. It is free, it needs no account, and it handles the clip in the browser. Pick how you want to bring your footage in.

How it works

Use the tool in five steps

STEP 01

Load the clip

Paste a supported Twitch clip link, or upload a video file you own.

STEP 02

Choose the shape

Pick 9:16 for Shorts, TikTok and Reels, or select another ratio the tool offers.

STEP 03

Check the crop

Move the focus if the car, the character or your facecam sits outside the frame.

STEP 04

Add captions and branding

Type or edit the caption text, and drop in channel branding if you want it on the clip.

STEP 05

Preview, then export

Watch the result back before you export it in the format the tool makes available.

What this page does and does not claim

GTA 6 and GTA V are the same editing job

Reframing is a formatting task. The tool reads a video file, crops it to the ratio you pick, writes captions over it and hands back an export — it does not need to know which Grand Theft Auto you were playing. That is why a GTA 6 clip and a GTA V clip go through exactly the same steps here.

What the tool does not do is claim tested support for unreleased gameplay. Eklipse's automatic game detection covers the titles it already sees on connected streams; treat GTA VI detection as unconfirmed until it is announced. Until then, read this page as preparation: get the workflow set up with GTA footage you own, and the same steps apply the moment compatible GTA 6 footage exists.

Eklipse feature

Editing the clip is the easy half. Finding it is the work.

This tool edits a moment you already picked out. Eklipse AI Highlights does the picking: connect a Twitch, YouTube or Kick channel and the AI reviews the whole VOD, pulls the moments worth keeping, and returns them as clips. Nothing depends on chat having hit the clip button at the right second.

Clipping GTA V while you wait

Grand Theft Auto V is where most GTA creators are still streaming, and Eklipse already handles it end to end: the GTA V highlights page shows how the AI picks up chases, stunts and heist getaways from a connected stream. Whatever it saves, you can bring straight into the reframe tool above.

One clip, or a whole stream?

RouteWhat it takes inReach for it when
GTA clip tool (this page)One Twitch clip link or one file you ownYou already know which moment you want
AI HighlightsA connected stream or VODYou want help finding the moments at all

The three are stages of one pipeline, not competing options: find the moment, cut it to shape, then push the edit further if it is worth the time.

Questions

GTA 6 clip questions, answered

Can I edit a GTA 6 clip before the game is out?

You can set the workflow up now with GTA footage you own, and use the tool on GTA 6 footage once you have compatible files. Nothing on this page describes unreleased gameplay as tested.

Can I use a YouTube link?

Use the input types the tool actually exposes: a supported Twitch clip link, or a video file you upload. If your source has to be downloaded before you can edit it, do that within the source platform's terms first, then upload the file.

Is this the same as automatic VOD clipping?

No. This browser tool works on one clip you hand it. Finding highlights across a whole stream or VOD is a separate Eklipse workflow, handled by AI Highlights.

What ratio should I use for Shorts?

9:16 is the standard vertical starting point for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Reels. Preview the crop before you export so the car, the character or the action you cared about stays inside the frame.

Does Eklipse detect GTA 6 automatically?

Automatic game detection covers the titles Eklipse already sees on connected streams, and GTA VI support is unconfirmed until Eklipse announces it. The reframe tool does not depend on detection either way — it edits whatever clip you load.

Does the browser tool cost anything?

No. The reframe tool is free and needs no account. Eklipse itself is free to sign up for; generating clips automatically from your stream runs on a paid plan.
