Keep your gameplay, map introduction, and match results visible so Eklipse can capture the context of your Dead by Daylight session. Use this checklist before you stream, then check the saved recording with your overlays enabled.
1. Confirm game availability #
Check the Eklipse supported games list for Dead by Daylight and review the options available in your account. Support for a game does not guarantee that every moment will become a highlight.
2. Select the correct game category #
Set your stream’s game category to Dead by Daylight.
- On Twitch, open Creator Dashboard, select Stream Manager, and edit your stream information.
- On YouTube, open your stream settings in YouTube Studio, select Gaming, and enter Dead by Daylight as the game title.
- On other connected platforms, select the matching game in the stream information settings.
If you switch games during a stream, remember to update your category.
3. Keep key game information visible #
Eklipse’s recap cues include the map introduction and match result. Keep these areas clear throughout the session, including between trials.
| Game information | Where to check | What to keep visible |
|---|---|---|
| Map and realm introduction | Bottom-left when a trial starts | The full map name and realm text |
| Match result heading | Upper-left on the post-match screen | The “MATCH RESULT” heading and result below it |
| Post-match scoreboard | Left side of the results screen | Player rows and outcome information |
Also keep hook and wiggle prompts near the lower center readable when they appear. Avoid placing a permanent banner across this area.
Recommended stream overlays #

Prefer the top-right or bottom-right for your overlay. Top-left and bottom-left are not ideal. Choose one position and check it in your stream preview.
Good overlay placement:
- Start with a small facecam in the top-right or bottom-right corner.
- Keep chat widgets and alerts away from the map introduction and results panel.
- Check the layout as both survivor and killer if you stream both roles.
Avoid:
- A bottom-left facecam that hides the map name.
- A top-left widget that covers “MATCH RESULT.”
- A large results-screen overlay that hides the scoreboard.
- An automatic scene change that replaces the game before the result appears.
These placements are starting points, not guaranteed safe zones. Check them against the game screens in your recording.
4. Make the recording accessible #
Confirm that your recording is available through the Eklipse import or connected-channel workflow you use. If you import a platform VOD, check that it has not expired or become inaccessible because of account restrictions.
Do not change your stream’s privacy settings unless your selected workflow requires it.
5. Preserve readable game text #
Make sure your game footage isn’t cropped. Avoid mods, filters, and overlays that hide or replace the map introduction, action prompts, or results. If you change the HUD scale or language, check the recording again before relying on the new layout.
Before you go live #
Record a short test covering your introduction, gameplay, and post-match screen. Replay it at your broadcast resolution. Confirm that the map name, action prompts, result heading, and scoreboard remain readable when alerts appear.
