Hi there! The short answer is no—you don’t necessarily have to stream live to use Eklipse’s AI clipping features!
Whether you are a full-time streamer or an offline gamer who just likes to record their matches, we have a workflow that fits your needs. Here is how both options work:
1. If You Stream (Automatic Clipping) #
- When you connect your Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or Facebook account to Eklipse, our system automatically detects when you go live.
- Once your stream ends, the AI automatically pulls the VOD and processes it into highlights.
- This is the absolute easiest, hands-off way to generate clips!
2. If You Don’t Stream (Manual Upload) #
- If you record your gameplay locally using software like OBS, ShadowPlay, or capture cards, you can still use our AI!
- You can make clips by manually uploading your own videos (gameplay recordings, podcast episodes, etc.).
- Just go to your main Eklipse dashboard → Uploads → Upload Video, and the AI will process your file to create highlights exactly like it does for a stream.
So no—you don’t have to stream! However, connecting a streaming account does make the clipping process faster and fully automatic.
Perfect for YouTube Let’s Plays! #
If you record long-form videos for YouTube instead of streaming on Twitch, manual uploads are your best friend. Just upload your final video file, let the AI find the funniest moments, and turn them into YouTube Shorts to promote your main channel!
