Yes, you can absolutely use a different card or payment method for your Premium plan! However, because of how our billing system processes payments, switching to a new card is treated as starting a brand-new subscription.
Because it counts as a new subscription, your new payment method will be charged at the current Eklipse Premium pricing rate (rather than carrying over any previous or legacy promotional rates you might have had).
The safest way to switch your payment method #
To ensure a smooth transition and absolutely avoid any risk of being double-charged by our system, please follow these exact steps:
- Cancel Your Current Plan: Go to your Account Settings and cancel your existing Premium subscription. Don’t worry, you will keep all your Premium perks until the very last day of the cycle you already paid for!
- Let it Expire: Wait for your current billing cycle to officially end and for your account to briefly revert to the Free plan.
- Re-Subscribe: Once your account is on the Free tier, go back to the Premium upgrade page and select your desired plan.
- Enter New Details: At checkout, simply enter your new credit card or alternate payment method.
By following this method, you ensure your old card is completely wiped from the active billing cycle before the new one is charged!
Important Note About Pricing! #
If you signed up for Eklipse Premium a long time ago during a special promotion or at an older legacy rate, switching your payment method will void that rate. Your new subscription will be charged at the current standard prices listed on our website.
