Automate Your Growth. To use the Eklipse Content Publisher or Auto-Post features, you must first authorize Eklipse to publish content on your behalf. This requires a one-time setup to link your social media accounts securely.
Before You Start: The Instagram Requirement #
While linking TikTok is straightforward, Instagram has specific requirements from Meta (Facebook).
- TikTok: Works with Personal or Business accounts.
- Instagram: You MUST have an Instagram Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Personal profiles cannot use auto-posting tools due to API limitations.
Part 1: Connecting TikTok #
- Go to the [Content Publisher] tab or your Account Settings > Connected Apps.
- Click the Connect button next to the TikTok icon.
- A pop-up window will appear asking you to log in to TikTok.
- Authorize Permissions: Ensure all checkboxes are selected (e.g., “Share videos to your account”). If you uncheck these, the auto-post will fail.
- Click Authorize. You should now see your TikTok handle listed as “Connected.”
Part 2: Connecting Instagram (Important) #
- Click the Connect button next to Instagram.
- Login via Facebook: You will be redirected to Facebook (Meta). This is normal, as Meta manages Instagram permissions.
- Select Accounts:
- Choose the Instagram Business Account you want to link.
- Choose the Facebook Page associated with that Instagram account.
- Grant Permissions: Allow Eklipse to “Create Content,” “Manage Comments,” etc. Do not toggle these off, or the connection will break.
- Click Done.
“I don’t see my Instagram account?” If your account isn’t listed during step 3, it is likely still a “Personal” profile.
- Fix: Open Instagram App > Settings > Account > Switch to Professional Account. Then, link it to a Facebook Page and try again.
Part 3: Maintaining Your Connection #
Social media platforms (especially TikTok) periodically expire these security tokens to keep your account safe.
- If auto-posting fails: It usually means your “Token Expired.”
- The Fix: Simply go back to your settings and click “Reconnect” to refresh the permission.
