The short answer is no. You cannot switch overlays or scenes directly through the Eklipse Console.
While custom overlays and scene transitions are fantastic tools for engaging your live audience, Eklipse is built specifically for post-production and highlight generation, rather than live broadcast control.
Here is a quick breakdown of how it works:
1. Eklipse is a Cloud-Based Clipper #
Eklipse Console operates in the cloud. It connects directly to your Twitch or YouTube broadcasts to automatically capture and process highlights in the background. Because it acts as a passive observer, it does not have the ability to inject graphics or control your live broadcast elements in real-time.
2. What You Need for Live Overlays #
If you want to use dynamic overlays, alerts, or switch between a “Just Chatting” scene and a “Gameplay” scene while live on your console, you will need a hardware and software combo. Typically, this requires routing your console gameplay through a capture card into a PC, and using PC-based streaming software like OBS Studio or Streamlabs.
3. Add “Overlays” After the Stream! #
While Eklipse cannot put an overlay on your live broadcast, you can use the Eklipse Studio to add engaging elements to your clips! Once your console stream is finished and your highlights are generated, you can easily add text, memes, stickers, and auto-captions before sharing them to TikTok or Shorts.
Enhance Your Clips in Post-Production #
You might not be able to use live overlays directly from your console, but that doesn’t mean your content has to be boring! Eklipse Studio allows you to overlay your webcam, add animated text, and insert sound effects to your console highlights before you share them with the world.
