Never miss an elimination, victory royale, or building highlight from your Fortnite stream. Follow this checklist to set up your stream correctly so Eklipse captures every moment. Create a Fortnite montage or share clips instantly with the Fortnite clip maker online.
✅ 1. Confirm Fortnite Is Supported #
Eklipse only works if the game is supported in its system. Check the Eklipse Supported Games List and confirm Fortnite is included.
✅ 2. Select the Correct Game Category #
Eklipse detects highlights based on the game category you stream under. If your stream isn’t tagged as Fortnite, highlights won’t be captured.
Twitch #
- Go to Creator Dashboard → Click Stream Manager
- Edit “Stream Info”
- Set category to Fortnite
YouTube #
- Open YouTube Studio → Go Live
- Choose “Stream” → Click Edit
- Set Category to Gaming
- Enter Fortnite as a game title
Facebook Gaming #
- Start Live Stream
- Under Gaming, select Fortnite
✅ 3. Keep Fortnite HUD Elements Visible #
Eklipse reads your in-game HUD to detect highlights. If these elements are covered, clips may be missed.
Must stay visible:
- Elimination Feed: Top-right corner
- Health/Shields Bar: Bottom-left corner
- Weapon/Inventory HUD: Bottom-center
- Scoreboard / Match Info: Top-left corner
Safe to cover:
- Chat Box: Bottom-left corner (optional)
- Minimap: Top-right corner (avoid if possible)
Recommended Stream Overlays: Do’s and Don’ts #
Correct overlay placement is critical. If your facecam or alerts cover Fortnite’s HUD elements, Eklipse may not detect highlights.
✅ Good Overlay Placement
- Facecam in the bottom-left corner that doesn’t block the health/shields bar
- Alerts positioned away from the elimination feed
- The inventory and scoreboard are fully visible

❌ Bad Overlay Placement
- Facecam covering elimination feed or health/shields bar
- Alerts blocking the scoreboard or the inventory
- Widgets overlapping the weapon or item HUD

✅ 4. Set Stream Visibility to Public #

Eklipse cannot process Private or Unlisted streams. Always set your stream to Public before you go live.
Step-by-step:
- Click your profile icon (top-right) and go to Creator Dashboard
- In the left sidebar, select Settings → Stream
- Scroll down until you find the Public Stream option → Enable it
✅ 5. Use Correct Language and HUD Settings #
For the best detection accuracy, keep Fortnite on default settings:
- In-game language: English
- HUD and elimination feed: Default style and colors
- Avoid mods or overlays that change or hide HUD elements
