Never miss a kill, multi-kill, squad wipe, or clutch play from your Apex Legends stream. Follow this checklist to set up your stream correctly so Eklipse captures every highlight. Create Apex stream highlights, build a montage, or share clips instantly using the best clipping software for Apex Legends.
✅ 1. Confirm Apex Legends Is Supported #
Eklipse only works if the game is supported in its system. Check the Eklipse Supported Games List and confirm Apex Legends is included.
✅ 2. Select the Correct Game Category #
Eklipse detects highlights based on the game category you stream under. If your stream isn’t tagged as Apex Legends, highlights won’t be captured.
Twitch #
- Go to Creator Dashboard → Click Stream Manager
- Edit “Stream Info”
- Set category to Apex Legends

YouTube #
- Open YouTube Studio → Go Live
- Choose “Stream” → Click Edit
- Set Category to Gaming
- Enter Apex Legends as the game title

Facebook Gaming #
- Start Live Stream
- Under Gaming, select Apex Legends

✅ 3. Keep Apex Legends HUD Elements Visible #
Eklipse reads your in-game HUD to detect highlights. If these elements are covered, clips may be missed.
Must stay visible:
- Kill/Elimination Feed: Top-left corner
- Health/Shield Bar: Bottom-left corner
- Weapon/Abilities HUD: Bottom-center
- Squad Info / Respawn Beacon: Top-right corner
Safe to cover:
- Chat Box: Bottom-left corner (optional)
- Minimap: Top-right corner (avoid covering critical info)
Recommended Stream Overlays: Do’s and Don’ts #
✅ Good Overlay Placement
- Facecam in the bottom-left or bottom-right corner that doesn’t block health/shields or weapon HUD
- Alerts positioned away from the kill feed
- All critical HUD elements are fully visible

❌ Bad Overlay Placement
- Facecam covering kill feed or health/shields bar
- Alerts blocking squad info or weapon HUD
- Widgets overlapping the ultimate or ability HUD

✅ 4. Set Stream Visibility to Public #
Eklipse cannot process Private or Unlisted streams. Always set your stream to Public before you go live.
Step-by-step:
- Click your profile icon (top-right) and go to Creator Dashboard
- In the left sidebar, select Settings → Stream
- Scroll down until you find the Public Stream option → Enable it
✅ 5. Use Correct Language and HUD Settings #
For the best detection accuracy, keep Apex Legends on default settings:
- In-game language: English
- HUD and kill feed: Default style and colors
- Avoid mods or overlays that change or hide HUD elements
