If you are a variety streamer who plays two or three different games in a single broadcast, you might notice that your Eklipse dashboard only shows highlights from the very first game you played.
Why does this happen? #
Currently, the Eklipse AI is designed to analyze one game per VOD. When it scans your stream, it identifies the first game being played, locks in the specific AI detection model for that game (reading its unique UI and events), and focuses on it for the remainder of the video.
How to get clips for every game you play (The Workarounds): #
Until our system can seamlessly switch AI models mid-video, here are the two best solutions to ensure you get highlights for every game:
1. The “Restart” Method (For Future Streams) #
The easiest way to guarantee clips for different games is to stream one game per broadcast. If you decide to switch from Valorant to Minecraft halfway through your night, simply end your stream, wait a few seconds, and start a new stream. This creates two separate VODs, allowing Eklipse to process each game perfectly.
2. The “Split” Method (For Existing VODs) #
If you already have a massive 6-hour VOD with multiple games in it, you can manually split the video before giving it to Eklipse.
- Go to your Twitch Video Producer.
- Use the Twitch Highlighter tool to cut the VOD into smaller segments based on the game being played.
- Save these segments as new videos on Twitch.
- Go to the Eklipse Dashboard and manually import the link for each new, split video!
A Note on Future Updates: #
We know variety streamers love to switch things up! Our engineering team is actively working on multi-game detection to make this entire process automatic in the future.
Did the AI detect the wrong game? #
If you only played one game, but the AI categorized it incorrectly (which can lead to weird or missing clips), there is a quick fix you can apply in your dashboard.
