Never miss a spike plant, clutch, or ace from your Valorant stream. Follow this checklist to set up your stream correctly so Eklipse captures every highlight, letting you focus on gameplay while key moments are saved automatically.
✅ 1. Confirm Valorant Is Supported #
Eklipse only works if the game is supported. Check the Supported Games List and confirm Valorant is included.
✅ 2. Select the Correct Game Category #
Eklipse detects highlights based on the game category you stream under. If your stream isn’t tagged as Valorant, highlights won’t be captured.
Twitch #
- Go to Creator Dashboard → Click Stream Manager
- Edit “Stream Info”
- Set category to Valorant
YouTube #
- Open YouTube Studio → Go Live
- Choose “Stream” → Click Edit
- Set Category to Gaming
- Enter Valorant as the game title
Facebook Gaming #
- Start Live Stream
- Under Gaming, select Valorant
✅ 3. Keep Valorant HUD Elements Visible #
Eklipse reads your in-game HUD to detect highlights. Focus on these critical elements:
- Kill/Death Feed: Top-right corner
- Health/Armor Bar: Bottom-left corner
- Weapon/Abilities HUD: Bottom-center
Optional / Safe to cover:
- Scoreboard / Spike Status: Appears only when triggered
- Minimap: Top-left corner
- Chat Box: Bottom-left corner
Recommended Stream Overlays: Do’s and Don’ts #
Correct overlay placement is critical. If your facecam or alerts cover Valorant HUD elements, Eklipse may not detect highlights.
✅ Good Overlay Placement
- Facecam in bottom-left or bottom-right corner that doesn’t block health, weapons, or abilities
- Alerts positioned away from kill/death feed
- All critical HUD elements visible

❌ Bad Overlay Placement
- Facecam covering kill/death feed or health bar
- Alerts blocking weapon/abilities HUD
- Widgets overlapping the critical HUD

Overlay tip: Test your layout before going live. Using the Valorant auto clipper ensures key moments are captured automatically.
✅ 4. Set Stream Visibility to Public #
Eklipse cannot process Private or Unlisted streams. Always set your stream to Public before you go live.
Step-by-step:
- Click your profile icon (top-right) and go to Creator Dashboard
- In the left sidebar, select Settings → Stream
- Scroll down until you find the Public Stream option → Enable it
✅ 5. Use Correct Language and HUD Settings #
For best detection accuracy, keep Valorant on default settings:
- In-game language: English
- HUD and kill feed: Default style and colors
- Avoid mods that hide or alter HUD elements
