Twitch sub calculator: estimate subscription revenue

Enter your Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, gifted, and Prime subs, set the split and prices you actually get, and see a monthly and annual estimate — with every assumption spelled out next to the number.

This is a scenario tool, not a payout statement. It multiplies the figures you enter. Nothing here is a Twitch payout term, and the result is not guaranteed income.

How it works

How to estimate Twitch sub revenue in three steps

STEP 01

Count your subs by type

Open your Twitch dashboard and note how many Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, gifted, and Prime subs you finished the month with. Enter each count in its own row.

STEP 02

Set the prices and the split

Replace the placeholder prices with what your viewers actually pay in your region, then enter your revenue share. These are your numbers, so confirm them against your payout history.

STEP 03

Read the estimate, then the assumptions

You get a monthly and an annual figure plus the formula behind it. Add a deduction percentage for tax and fees before you treat the number as spendable.

What a Twitch sub calculator can and cannot tell you

Most sub calculators give you one confident number while hiding the math behind it. That figure is only ever as good as three numbers nobody outside your account can see: what your viewers were actually charged, what share of that reaches you, and what gets taken out afterwards. This tool refuses to guess any of the three. It multiplies what you type and prints the working.

That makes it less impressive and more useful. Two streamers with identical sub counts can land far apart, and the gap is almost never about the count. It is about tier mix, how many subs were Prime rather than paid, where the audience lives, whether a gifted-sub raid inflated one month, and what the individual agreement says. A calculator that assumes a single universal payout quietly erases all five.

Eklipse feature

The sub count is the output. Clips are the input.

Nobody subscribes to a channel they never see. Subs follow reach, and reach follows how much of your stream makes it off Twitch. Eklipse AI highlights watches your full VOD, finds the moments worth posting, and hands them back as ready-to-post clips for YouTube, TikTok, and Shorts — so the hours you already streamed keep working after you go offline.

Grow your sub count beyond the spreadsheet

A Valorant ace or a Fortnite endgame clutch is what pulls a new viewer into the channel that eventually subscribes. Eklipse keeps game-specific clipping pages showing how the AI reads each title's moments, and every editing feature that runs after a clip exists. Estimate the revenue here; go build the pipeline that changes it.

Where the estimate drifts, and what to do about it

AssumptionWhy it movesHow to tighten it
Viewer priceSub prices are localised, and platform pricing changes over timeRead the price your own channel's sub page shows, and check a second region if your audience is international
Your shareAgreements differ between creators and can changeUse your own payout history: divide a past month's sub payout by that month's gross
Prime subsPrime is not a purchase at a tier price, so a tier-based model misreads itEnter the per-sub value you see in your own statements, rather than the Tier 1 figure
Gifted subsGifting is bursty — one raid can double a month and never repeatAverage several months instead of estimating from your best one
DeductionsTax, withholding, refunds, and chargebacks are all invisible in a gross numberPut a realistic percentage in the deductions field before you plan around the result

If any of these change, the estimate changes with them. That is the honest position: this page models a scenario, and your dashboard reports the fact.

Already estimating? Finish the channel setup

A sub number on a page does not move anything by itself. What does: giving people a reason to subscribe and something to look at once they do. Make the emblem that shows up next to a subscriber's name with the Twitch sub badge maker, and when you need the 72px, 36px, and 18px versions Twitch asks for, resize Twitch sub badges in one pass instead of exporting three times.

Questions

Twitch sub revenue questions, answered

How much is one Twitch sub worth to a streamer?

There is no single answer, which is why this calculator asks rather than tells. A sub's value to you is the price the viewer paid multiplied by your share of it, minus tax and fees. All three vary by region, by tier, and by agreement. Take one month's sub payout, divide it by that month's sub count, and you have your own real per-sub figure — more reliable than any published average.

How much does a gifted sub cost, and do I earn the same from it?

A gifted sub is an ordinary subscription that someone other than the recipient paid for, at the price of whichever tier was gifted. For estimating purposes, treat it exactly like a paid sub of that tier: set the gifted row's price to the tier being gifted. The thing to watch is not the rate but the pattern — gifting arrives in bursts, so a month with a big gift raid is a poor basis for a yearly projection.

Do Prime subs pay the same as a Tier 1 sub?

Do not assume they do. A Prime sub is not a tier purchase, so a tier-price model misreads it by design. This calculator gives Prime its own row where you enter the value per sub directly, and it deliberately does not apply the split to that row. Pull the figure from your own payout statements; if you have never checked, that is the single assumption most worth verifying before you rely on the total.

Why do two streamers with the same sub count earn different amounts?

Tier mix, Prime share, region, and agreement. A channel with 300 Tier 1 subs in a lower-priced region and a heavy Prime share can sit well below a channel of the same size whose audience buys Tier 2 and Tier 3 at list price. Sub count is a vanity number for revenue purposes; the composition behind it is what decides the payout.

Does this calculator include taxes and fees?

Only if you tell it to. The deductions field starts at zero, so the headline figure is pre-tax and pre-fee by default. Taxes, withholding, payment processing, refunds, and chargebacks are all excluded, along with every other income stream — ad revenue, bits, donations, and sponsorships are not modelled here at all.

Is this Twitch sub calculator free, and does it need an account?

Yes, and no. The tool is free, there is no sign-in, and the arithmetic runs entirely in your browser — your sub numbers are never sent anywhere. It is one of Eklipse's browser tools for streamers, alongside the clip and badge tools.
